Wish there was a way
To become what you dream and
Still be what you are
The things that happen
On the weekend are diff’rent
Than those in the week
When work becomes fun
You start to see potential
Where frustration reigned
First night is the worst
Out of my routine; away
From what matters most
Their kind of crazy
Is no more crazy than ours
Can’t we meet halfway?

At all the wonderful things

Posts like flypaper
They lie waiting for someone
To land and get stuck
Slap it together
No one will even notice

Getting a haircut
Toys and other distractions
Keep everyone calm
Lay out your vision
Tell them what you feel. You’ll find
Passion rules the day
One man will destroy
But millions more will build up
Which gets our focus?
Don’t tell him, show him
He wants to do things right but

Point them to my blogs and fight

Charms of modern life
We covet time off
Planning to rest and achieve
Never do either
Take everything known
And order it with your goals
Find new ways forward
Time to think new thoughts
To assemble the same pieces
In breakthrough patterns
A game for babies

The blank screen stares back
